It’s the beginning of winter—the weather is getting colder, the nights are getting longer. And what better way to light up the dark evenings than with a magical experience at SkyPark’s Adventure Lights? With a dazzling 300,000-light display inspired by Irish mythology, there’s plenty of excitement to be found. The park features four enchanting zones—Adventure, Mythological, Extinction, and Fun—each with its own mix of wonder and thrills, making it a must-visit for families this season.
Adventure Awaits with a Magical Map
At the beginning of the trail, the kids are given a special map and pencil to embark on a fun scavenger hunt! They’ll look for a hidden letter in each zone—Adventure, Mythological, Extinction, and Fun—to reveal a secret word. Once they’ve unlocked the word, they can head to the wishing room, where they get to write down their very own wish. There’s something so special about watching them place their wishes in the magical wishing tree, a whimsical experience that adds a sprinkle of wonder to the adventure.
What to Wear & What to Expect
As you plan your family outing, keep in mind that it can get chilly, so dressing warmly is key! Layer up in cozy sweaters, jackets, and hats to keep everyone snug as you explore. And since the Irish weather can be unpredictable, consider wearing waterproof outerwear just in case a drizzle comes through. The ground may be mucky if it’s been raining, so sturdy shoes or boots (and maybe even an extra pair of socks) are a smart choice to keep little feet dry and comfortable.
Snacks & Facilities
Walking through the sparkling lights can work up an appetite, but don’t worry—food stalls are available throughout, offering treats for everyone to enjoy. The trail also has plenty of rest stops and accessible toilets, making it a stress-free outing for parents with little ones.
